is coming right along. At the end of the third week, we had reached $451. The idea, if you don’t recall it, is that my partner and I have agreed to match each week the total of our personal expenditures, movie tickets, snacks at the bookstore, clothing purchases, and meals eaten out that we could have prepared at home. At first, after the second week, it seemed that there was both a good side and a bad side to this plan. We were saving but also we were spending. But two things are coming clear as we progress. First, our awareness of what we are spending has become more conscious and second, this consciousness is leading to less frivilous spending. On top of that we are both profiting from the discussions we have about the process.
